Dear Experts,

I am trying to help my aunt with her old Acer Aspire X3810. It cant be powered on when pushing the power button, so I dismantled the case and tried "Jump Start" using a screw driver and it work. I am unsure if the problem is the Casing power button or is it the PSU faulty. Any gurus or expert encounter similar issue before can help help please!

Thank you all, appreciate it!

If you can jump start it using the screw driver, it means your power button is faulty. Try swapping the reset button lead to the power button lead and you can use the reset button as your power button. Or you can buy a mini ATX casing and transplant the components over to the new casing.

Thanks for the suggestion and quick reply! The cable connecting the case and my motherboard looks like this. So I have to purchase a separate cable from the web I suppose? Would something like this work? https://shopee.sg/65cm-Desktop-Comp...MIz6SO7M_k3gIVzY6PCh3UvQ3uEAYYASABEgKFYfD_BwE
