Need help for 1.2k rig

Hello everyone, I would like to ask for opinions and suggestions of this pc build I have in mind:

CPU: i5 6500+Gigabyte H110M DS2@$402
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 2133MHZ@$169
PSU: FSP Hexa+ 550W@$57
HDD: WD Blue 1TB@$72
CASE: Tecware F3 White@$39 -Carousell
GPU: MSI GTX 1060 6G OCV1@$359 -Make Fine Computer
OS: Windows 10 Education@S$30 -Reddit
Total: $1128

Other prices quoted from PC Themes price list.

Budget: $1200
Uses: Schoolwork (game development course next year) and casual gaming
Games: GTA V, BF1, Rainbow 6 Siege

More details:
-PC will be placed on table
-Prefer White and Black Theme
-No need wifi and peripherals
-Will be putting the parts together myself
-Was considering to put 240GB ssd but I prefer a 750gb SSD due to the $ per GB is cheaper. Thus, I will get ssd later on.

Change gpu to budget brands. No need for 16gb ram but if u insist...

Use the money for the ram to get a ssd. U will appreciate the faster loading.

Also if possible wait next year. New gen cpu

hmm yea just one of those rare instances where the budget gpus are now slightly exp. i guess is due to the lack of promotions and coupons to use now.

if u die die want to buy now i guess that's the best u can do. otherwise, hold off your purchase and wait for qoo10 promos. i am very sure one is around the corner ba.

but overall, i think u shld delay your rig till next year jan cuz the new gen cpu will be out. the amd zen looks promising.

i think so? intel say that already starting to ship liao but exact date i won't know. that's why build a pc now not so good with all the new tech at our doorstep very soon.

key thing is amd also announcing the new vega cards to be out. that could spark off a major price war again (but not too sure becuz amd presence in sg is really crap). and the amd zen performance looks good.

everything looks pretty good. i'd get a seasonic s12g 450w for $79 at pcthemes instead but otherwise its fine.

The case comes with 2 case fan that is good enough, you don't need extra 2 more.

And PSU, seasonic s12g 450w is a better choice.

lol intel will definitely release it to fight with AMD on next year CES. so show case who is the better processor kings. (will intel holds the crown? or will AMD makes their comesback lead )
