Hi, I'm new to building diy desktop and require some input
Budget for the desktop is sgd3k and I'll need one that works well with the oculus rift. Mainly for gaming and running oculus sdk and programs like unity. Will try to hook up my console and see if that's possible too.

currently looking at:
Mb: Asus maximus vii i7 4790k (hero/gene/ranger)
Gpu: 2x msi gtx970 4gb
Ram: gskill 2133mhz 16gb
Harddisc:Seagate 1tb 7200rpm

Crucial mx100 256gb Ssd
Toshiba DVD drive
Case: need help to pick one
Psu: Thermaltake tpower 750w 80+gold (or better)
Windows 7 home premium

Am I missing any things like fans/cooler or will that be covered by Mb? Just need a decent build with a little future proofing

Thanks!

If you have 3k. It is best to go for high res gaming. Don't just stay at 1080p. Not worth it.

If you really want an Asus board.

ASUS Z97 Ranger + i5-4690k ~ $572
GSkills Ripjaws 1866mhz 2x4gb kit ~ $117
WD Blue 1tb ~ $67
Crucial mx100 256gb ~ $155
MSI GTX970 4gb Twin Frozr 5 x2 SLI ~ $1150
Superflower 750w Leadex 80+ Gold ~ $179
Corsair Obsidian 450D ~ $169
LG DVD Drive ~ $21
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM ~ $115
Corsair H100i ~ $150
Qnix QX2710 27inch PLS A- WQHD(2k) monitor ~ $279 (qoo10)

Total ~ $2974. Buy at tradepac. DIY
