oooo icic. will have an indepth look into the psu.

what about other parts? does it look okay?

The parts are fine. Good luck hunting them and DIY. You dont need to go up to 600w of PSU. The 970 isnt a very power consuming card. You can just get a 500w PSU to power it.

Technically speaking. A PSU that isnt loaded more than 500w region it can be passively cooled without a fan.

That is for good PSU models.

Some PSU fans wont kick in at all till its hot.

It should not be hot even if you take a 500w and load up up to 400w.

im not sure if singapore has superflower or not. =x

Lazada used to sell the 600w, 650w and 750w models and it's really worth buying especially with the coupon discounts but somehow only left with minimum 850W models at the moment.

Superflower's distro is Tech Dynamic, located at Chai Chee, good if you stay in the east. My RMA experience was pleasant with them. Had minor coil whine on the PSU and they offered 1 to 1 exchange without question asked.

I'll like to add on to Roy's comments. The Superflower Leadex Gold models have this function that Roy mentioned. On Eco mode the fan only starts spinning during high loads. Providing silent operation when PC on idle.
