Need help for graphic card upgrade

Hi there,
i bought a desktop from aftershock for my daughter on 2018, recently she told me she wants to upgrade her graphic card as some games she play will lag, can recommend me a cheaper graphic card to upgrade, i don't mind buying a 2nd hand ones as i hope will last her a few years before i change a new desktop for her. is changing the graphic easy task as my computer knowledge is limited. below are her existing specs

What games she play?

Monitor used is 1440p or 4k? If want to run 4k, need to buy the top end cards... 1440p, either 2080TI or 3070...

It's better to contact aftershock and ask them for the PSU model before making changes. They tend to use low-end PSU even for high-end systems.

I would upgrade to 3060, given the PSU is decent.

This spec most games should be playable, depending on game try to lower the setting.
As well as if you know how to check the CPU temperature as liquid cooling for PC that old
can be faulty.

Need to double check with her what does "lag" means. Most likely it means low fps but it could also mean high latency.

If assuming the lag is low fps, then change the game settings to medium, should be able to maintain 60+ fps gameplay.

As mentioned by 86technie, the current computer spec i think is good enough for gaming on FHD resolution. So I would not recommend to upgrade GPU for now at least.

If play genshin impact can feel laggy , really need to upgrade gpu, from gtx 1660 insufficient anymore.
Can go for Rtx 3060 or 3060 Ti save for future monitor upgrade to 1440p.

I think not too far off. I used to have GTX 1060 with Ryzen 1600x and it couldn't drive the GPU to 100% that often.

Only when using Ryzen 3000 then I saw the GPU working to the maximum.
