Not going to give you a list but here are some suggestions for a $3k build. You do more research and decide for yourself.

CPU:
AMD: Ryzen 5 5600X or Ryzen 7 5800X
Intel: i5 11600K or i7 11700K

Motherboard:
AMD: B550 or X570 ITX mobo
Intel: Z490 or Z590 ITX mobo
Not many choices for ITX mobo. Avoid AsRock M series and you'll be fine.

Cooler:
240 - 280mm AIO or min. 6-heatpipe tower cooler. There are many brands, all are generally fine, I choose the best looking one.

GPU:
GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6700XT
Any brand is fine. Dual or triple fan doesn't matter if you're just gaming.

Memory:
16GB DDR4, 3200MHz - 3600MHz
Most brands should be fine. I prefer Crucial.

Storage:
1TB M.2 NVMe SSD
512GB M.2 NVMe SSD + 2TB HDD
Take Western Digital/Crucial for budget or Samsung for premium

Power supply (SFX):
600W - 750W, Corsair/Cooler Master/Silverstone all have decent SFX PSU.

Casing:
Cooler Master NR200 (non-TG if you use AIO)
Phanteks Evolv Shift 2 (tower) (go for AIO in this one)

Now is a bad time to get a PC. I recommend that either you go for preassembled PCs or just get a laptop this time round. Critical PC components like graphic cards are way overpriced or no stock. So ultimately close to half your budget will just used to pay for any overpriced GPU.

Budget 3k just buy Legion 5 Pro laptop and have some savings. You will be rocking a geforce 3070 mobile and ryzen CPU. Of course, dont compare it to a desktop 3070. But, its still powerful enough.

Or, buy ready made desktop from dell/dreamcore/aftershock etc. But, you will have to gimp on something to make it $3k.

Is there any reason why for this? Is it in general the brand or the series in particular?
For ITX boards, AsRock M is the lower end one. The better one is Phantom Gaming. M is fine if you just want something basic that works, or just running stock settings without overclocking. The feature set is less and overall quality is lower.
