need help for upgrading of current rig!

Hi guys, need your expert opinions to upgrade a current rig for general usual, and also be able to play games like bf4, cod ghost, batman origins with medium settings. No need monitor, keyboard and mouse. budget <$1k

Below is my current rig, was wondering which are the parts that i need to replace and which parts that i can reuse. pls advice!

Motherboard: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2.66GHz
Video card: AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series
RAM: 2GB. looking for at least 4gb and above.
Storage: samsung hd321kj ata device 300GB. possible to reuse for my new rig?
Casing: Cooler Master Centurion 5. possible to reuse for my new rig?
PSU: Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 550W
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 32-bit. intending to upgrade to 64 bit.
DVD drive: Samsung ATA device. possible to reuse for my new rig?
Audio: Im using Altec Lansing VS4121, which soundcard should i get?

Thanks for the advice! Possible to reuse the hdd and odd? Cos both also ATA. And possible to fit all these into my old chassis?

Sell the other stuff away.
Minimum intel i5 cpu
Minimum 2x2GB DDR3 1600mhz (i'm running 4gb 1333mhz at medium setting on BF4 at around 70~100fps.)
Get window 8.1 64bit OEM (It will benefit BF4 ALOT!)
Wait for some IT fair, creative will always sell their sound card at discount price.

Yup, I agree that you should just revamp the whole thing. A gaming rig doesn't cost much these days, definitely possible to build one within that budget without a monitor.

Hmm, i dun see how you can override that OS, but one way is to pull it out from a old/broken laptop/desktop.

My opinion is spend abit more and get Haswell with 8x Series Motherboard.
(Why? Cause Ivy Bridge which is using 7x Series MB is using different structure compared to the current generation and the following generation of motherboard, Eg. 9x Series MB will be compatible with Haswell CPU, loads of option when coming to MB replacement 3 yrs down the road.)

Wah thanks but too chim alr, don't really get you cos I'm noob at this. Just need a rig which enables me to play cod ghost at med settings and also normal videos, photoshop, Microsoft office etc. Don't mind if you could advice me a rig with your recommendations ?
