Need help !! Gtx 980

Hi i have a msi z97 gaming 5 and a gigabyte gtx 980 g1 . However when i installed nvidia driver and restarted .the screen will stay on in windows desktop for few seconds before no connection ! However have no issues with onboard motherboard vga.

Need some advice !

1) Rollback your drivers?

2) Use a different connection port/cable?

Uninstall nvidia driver then everything back to normal on vga card

Only tried hdmi but no cable to try displayport

1) No DVI cable?

2) What driver version did you use? Do you have any problems with older drivers? If you have no problems with the older drivers, can just go to Nvidia's websites and download the older drivers.

1) no dvi cables cos was using hdmi all along for my old rig

2) its a new setup eg new mobo and gpu . Tried older verison driver but no improvement yet !!

Helpp any solution .

Already updated latest bios update
Reformat windows 7 prof 64 bit

Any idea what else can be done ?

Nvm went back changed a new card its working now ! So sway kana a spoilt one on first purchase!
