Need help guys

First off, thanks for checking in this thread.

I have a IDE HDD that failed on me, can't be detected by neither by OS nor bios. I have photos files in there that meant alot to me, any ways to salvage them?

Any advice very much appreciated.

I do recall hard dis recovery being a Super expensive service that only large companies can afford to use.

However a quick Google search lead me to this site: -

They seem to give a free quotation but I would go in asking them what kind of range they will charge so you know your not wasting each other’s time.

Give it a go and let us know how u get on

they will open ur hdd
replace the hardware that deem spoil to get it working again
of cus if u feel like doing an adventure, u can open up urself and buy parts from ailexpress or taobao

Yes, ING to be very expensive. Always remember to have backup. USB external disk are not expensive now a day.

SIM Lim square has data recovery shop. But not sure if open. Few years back my friend did it at $500. This include a 1TB USB disk that they use to store the recovery data. Guess price should be increased by now.

What is you hardisk model? If someone happen to have same model, you can try to swap over the logic board first.

if ur hdd has no noise
it could be just ur hdd board spoil

at least that what happened to mine
i bought a board from aliexpress and replaced it, profit

this is what i do..... bought hdd dock...then slowly retrieve the data.

my hdd cannot be access or detected when connected to mb.....
but i use external hdd dock...surprisingly can access.

disclaimer: 50% this method can work for u.
