The techspot article is outdated. Do take note that I am recommending the ASRock A320M HDV R4.0 with improved VRMs which supports up to 105W CPUs, not the early version of A320M HDV (R1.0) which supports up to 65W CPUs.

I've used a similar 65W rated ASRock AB350M HDV (R1.0) before to OC a 2200G's iGPU only (no OC on cpu) and even then it's pretty underwhelming.

Ram OC issues have more to do with the mobo BIOS than the mobo itself. I have friends stuck on 2133mhz on B350 mobos until they updated to newer BIOS. (By the time B450 came out the BIOS versions are already much more stable)

I am using the ASRock A320M HDV R4.0 myself with kingston 2x4GB 3000mhz cl15 ram OC-ed with no issues.

The green kingston/crucial rams you are talking about are the trash 2666mhz CL19 rams that I specifically asked TS not to buy. None of the 2666mhz CL15/16 kingston/crucial rams that I recommended come with the ugly green PCB, they all have heatsinks and are of varying color themes from white/red/black/grey.

https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/memory-ballistix-sport

G.Skill also carries those trashy 2666mhz CL19 ddr4 rams as well. I'm not saying G.Skill rams are bad, they also have proper 2666mhz CL15. The speed and latency is what's important, I just happened to mention kingston/crucial only, but g.skill is just as good. In fact the $92 online one I mentioned is the g.skill 2666mhz cl15.

For PSUs, there is only a 2-5% efficiency difference between white and bronze 80+. But most importantly you cannot save electricity from power that is not being used.

A 2200G setup with no dedicated graphics can run on a mere 150w pico PSU. Plus with that amount of load the efficiency difference between white and bronze 80+ is only around 2%.

If you are going for serious overclocking, you will not be buying a low tier group regulated unit PSU like the EVGA BV (which is a lower tier than the EVGA B on linustechtips PSU tier list, do not mistake them for the same model) or FSP Hyper K.

There are certain parts inside the EVGA BV which is better than the FSP Hyper K, hence the bronze rating. But when you see the $22 higher price, 2 years shorter warranty and the lousier normal operating temperature rating of 0-30 degrees (most budget PSU has 0-40 degrees rating like FSP Hyper K) it's not really that much better. You can make the decision for yourself, nothing wrong if you feel that the EVGA BV is better after reading our comments and choose to get that one instead.

I have used quite a series of cheap PC cases from Tecware, Armaggeddon to the middle range NZXT and even taobao SFF cases. Let's just say that cheap stuff will definitely feel cheap, you get what you pay for. I don't think there is a difference between Armaggeddon's mainstream products like keyboard/mouse and their lesser known stuff like PC case. The Armaggeddon keyboard/mouse/pc case all feel cheap lol just like Tecware's PC case material.

But for a budget build what is important is functionality. As long as it works well, looks decent it's alright.

It's hard to find a place where you can get a nice looking tempered glass MATX case with a large 140mm RGB fan (controllable by the reset switch) for under $40 including shipping.

But it's good that we're recommending different things so TS has more choices to look at whether they're good or bad. Just because something may be considered to be better/worse doesn't mean TS can't prefer the other one. :)

I don't recommend Citibank card promos over POSB card promos, just sharing about other promos in case it comes in helpful for TS. :) In some cases the citibank promos are more worth it when the items you want to buy are only $50 or $60 at most like ssd PSU etc.

Do share more promos if you have them so that TS and others may benefit from it too!

Acutally my chassis will be kept in my walk in wardrobe. I just need it big enough like my existing t28 sharkoon to host enough fans to cool it down.. Main motive is good airflow cos its kept in a non ventilating enviroment..

Hi bro, since you're building a budget PC I'll suggest ASRock B450M HDV R4.0.

Do take note that this is a decent entry/budget B450 mobo, but not suitable for heavy overclocking due to insufficient power phase + vrm heatsink compared to higher end models. It's advisable to only overclock the iGPU of your 2200G, not both iGPU and CPU at the same time due to the limitations of your CPU stock cooler + Mobo power phase/vrm heatsink.

https://www.techspot.com/article/1579-overclocking-guide-ryzen-3-2200g/

You can learn how to overclock the iGPU and CPU here, but just overclock the iGPU only as the bottleneck is mostly the iGPU.

For PSU, the $77 EVGA BV 500w bronze 80+ the other guy suggested has 0-30 degrees operating temperature, 3 years warranty and higher 80+ bronze tier rating (which usually correlates to higher quality, but may not always be the case) while the $55 FSP Hyper K 500w+ I suggested has 0-40 degrees operating temperature, 5 years warranty and a lower 80+ white tier rating..

Frankly speaking both of them are group-regulated "low tier PSUs", some people might mistake the higher tier EVGA B for the lower tier and mostly missing from PSU tier list EVGA BV just like FSP Hyper K.

EVGA B has 0-40 degrees operating temperature while BV has 0-30 degrees.

Personally I think the cheaper FSP one is a better buy with the longer warranty and lower price, as I don't like to play with luck although it's unlikely the EVGA one will fail immediately after 3 years. But I will not be using the FSP Hyper K for heavy overclocking (eg. if you upgrade to Ryzen 5 2600 or higher), I would change to a proper higher tier PSU. But for budget use and light iGPU overclocking it should still be fine, assuming you are even going to overclock the iGPU.

I included an m.2 ssd, which doesn't need cables. Just screw onto the mobo so less cable and more tidy. It's usually around the same price as sata or more expensive by a little, but I found a good deal for this. Budget ssds are dramless but not an issue for normal consumers. No reason to get higher tier ssds for a budget build.

CPU: Ryzen 3 2200G (I don't have good lobang for this, amazon prime one I know about it but didn't suggest as most people don't have membership. But sometimes can get for $12x during shopee/lazada sales when they have big vouchers + bank promos)

MOBO $108: https://www.lazada.sg/products/asro...42.searchlist.list.35.65511378BrIEVC&search=1

PSU $55: https://shopee.sg/FSP-Hyper-K-500W-80-White-5Years-Warranty-i.16573133.664705852

240GB m.2 SSD: https://shopee.sg/WD-Green-PC-SSD-S...State-Drive-120GB-240GB-i.16573133.1565084607

PC Case 1: Tecware Nexus M $45

https://www.lazada.sg/products/tecw...42.searchlist.list.19.43387e38QyHIjf&search=1

Don't use the other guy's $48 link, there's a $45 seller. You just have to search for "tecware" and sort by cheapest in lazada to see the $45 seller selling in 4 diff colors.

PC Case 2: Armaggeddon Hagane H-1 $39.90 + $3.99 shipping qoo10, can use $5 off $40 qoo10 coupon make it $39 nett after shipping (need to top up 10 cents 20 cents junk item with free shipping to make cart $40 to use coupon)

https://www.qoo10.sg/item/ARMAGGEDD...BLE-FAST-DELIVERY/641280056?banner_no=1305330

For budget PC I don't see any need to go PC case >$50

DDR4 Ram: 2x4GB Kingston/Crucial 2666mhz CL15/16 ddr4

Cheapest online $92 shopee/lazada now, cheapest at sim lim $90 at techdeals.

If you live/work in the East and drive, PM me your number if you're interested to get a BNIB sealed kingston 2x4GB 2666mhz cl15 local set ddr4 ram for $75 from my block. Bought a few months back but didn't open or use, warranty seal still in tact.
I can't PM you directly as you have blocked PMs.

Other than the bank promos the other guy mentioned, there's also citibank $8 off $60 on lazada daily at 9am (goes out really fast in 1-2mins) and $6 off $50 citibank on shopee currently at 12am daily (top up $2 free shipping junk item with the $48 m.2 ssd).

bro, i seriously dont know my PM is being blocked. i got no idea how to unblock it.

any help on this please?

Able to pm you now, not sure if it was because your PM inbox was blocked or full previously.

Can consider just reusing your existing T28 sharkoon actually, especially if you won't be looking at it a lot haha.

Airflow wise shouldn't be an issue even though it's kept in a non-ventilating environment since you only need to move enough air for your CPU plus you're probably running it at stock? But you'll definitely need good airflow if you intend to add in a dedicated graphics card next time, especially if it's not a blower style graphics card. Or if you intend to OC your CPU's iGPU (since you already going for B450 mobo, can OC iGPU next time when you decide to game on it).

Normal graphics card design will blow out the hot air within the case, that's why your airflow must be good.

Blower style graphic cards (weaker performance) blows hot air out from the back of the case, so it's good for those people using SFF or bad airflow cases.
