tripping? no power after turning on? like the cpu/fan turn on for a few seconds then turn off?

most sensible thing to check is ur power cable and psu

ssd/hdd not something easy to spoil, unless is old like 10+ years or heavy users..

SSD definitely a culprit since it cannot be detected even in bios. But there may be more than 1 culprit...

Not quite sure how to troubleshoot the rest so kinda just writing it off to old age (only left 1 stick of ram, the other went kaput too) after salvaging the gpu & hdd.

ram dont go kaput that easily too
as for ssd, did u try other sata slot?

But will still need to depend on motherboard qvl for ram right?
Or those r only to show what's tested, doesn't mean others will not work.

Motherboard qvl for ram only shows what's tested and working, those not on list can still have possibility of working at full speed. First gen ryzen in their early mobo bios versions had a lot of issues with high speed ram not being to OC well if they weren't samsung b-dies, it is better now.
