Hi all!

Need some advice on building a basic rig since it's been a while since my last build.

Usage: Web surfing, MS Office, Youtube, Some light Dota

Parts required: All components including speaker, kb+m, monitor, wifi

Budget: Prefer keep within 1000.

Thanks all for your help!!

whats your last build?

My own rig:
CPU: ASUS H81M Gamer + i5-4460
RAM: 8GB (Forgot the brand)
GPU: ASUS Strix GTX 970
SSD: Samsung EVO 250GB
HDD: WD Blue 1TB
OS: Windows 10 Pro
KB: Coolermaster Quickfire TK (Cherry MX Brown)
Mouse: Razer Deathadder chroma

This next rig is for my friend with limited budget and not much of a gamer.

think your friend can at most get a i3 if he wants skylake sia. monitor+kb+mouse we set aside 200.

asus b150m-c + 8gb ram @ 263 - 50 = 213
i5-6500 @ 325 - 50 = 275
zotac gtx 1060 @ 309 - 50 = 259
hdd combo @ 250 - 50 = 200
qoo10 total = 947 - 27 = 920

u can change the hdd combo to a 1tb hdd @ 70+.
that will lower the entire rig to a 790.
u could also get this gpu @ 2pm today from shopee.

but most important thing. is he willing to diy or going to ask the shop to build for him?
this build is only possible if he is willing to DIY. otherwise, he has to factor in assembly services ($30) and the higher mobo+cpu rates from shops without discounts.
