Need some help on gaming laptops.

I understand that there are a lots of them in the market now.

As i am gaming on my desktop now which is due to die fairly soon.

And with a new house on the way which has space issues. Am looking for a gaming laptop to take over my desktop.

Budget is below 2.5k, Size doesnt really matter to me as the only time i am going to bring it out is probably on business trips which only hassle is lugging it to the hotel but will stay there for the rest of the trip.

Was looking at the auros x7 but realised that it was way out of budget.

Any recommendations out there ??

Thanks in advance!!

What games are you going to play?
Do you want 15.6" or 17"?
Do you need SSD for fast boot up?

Due to specs of the desktop now, i am only playing dota 2 and diablo.

However if the new laptop would be able to have a smoother gameplay on higher end games it will definitely be a bonus.

Screensize doesnt really matter. 15 or 17 is both fine with me. But if I had a choice 17 inch

Aftershock X17S V2 with these specs:
i5-4200M
GTX 870M
8GB DDR3L 1600MHZ (8x1)
17.3" 1920 x1080
750GB HDD 7200RPM
DVD RW
Windows 7 (Top up $4 more for Windows 8 if you want)
2 years warranty
Total cost $2448

If you need a bigger storage, need to get the XG17 V2 with GTX 860M.
But FYI there is no backlit keyboard for the 17" XG series

MSI GE series seems to match your need, but if you have more budget I will recommend you go for GT series :D it will be a good replacement for desktop!

Can consider the Aftershock XG17-v2, with a 250gb SSD for under 2.5k. Definitely can play most games on decent settings.

Get the aftershock xg17v2. The gtx 860m is more than enough for your needs and its 1 of the cheapest 17" gaming laptops.
