Hi guys,

My graphics card (palit gtx 560 ti) just up the lorry just after 2 years warranty...
I need to replace my graphics card. I used my desktop mostly for gaming (bf4 , diablo ) and web surfing. Will like to play titanfall those kind of games and hope that the new card can last quite some time.

Below are my specifications of my comp bought 2 years ago. Any suggestion on what graphics card to get (budget below 400, if exceed a bit is fine) based on my computer specifications.

Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3
Intel I5 2500K
Ram Kingston 8gb
Samsung P3 1TB
Case commander USB 3.0
PALIT GTX560TI 2048MB (Gone)
XPX PSU 850 Watts

Many thanks on the advice.

Can get a 270x or top up abit more for a 280x powercolor. Btw you running on what res on the monitor? Oh btw for nvidia equivalent would be 760=270x 770=280x but the 770 is abit over your budget

Hi Hengheng220,

Thanks for the recommendation. My resolution i guess is 1024*780. Not too sure on that .i check my motherboard is only 30.5cm x 24.4cm. I am not sure whether 270x can fit .
10.7 " x 5.24 " x 1.578 " Inch (R9270X-DC2T-2GD5). Is my system power (850 watts) enoigh ? Thanks

Hmmm... The res is small so I recommend you get 270x should be powerful enough le. As for length clearance pretty sure that it can fit cause your case max gpu length is 320mm. As for your psu ah... Hahahaha 850 can power 2 270x liao

TS, you better post all parts including case here. Else you risk buying a card too big to install.

i went to funan yesterday, looking for graphics card.
Saw two cards , may i know which is better from same supplier ASUS.

- Asus GTX760 DirectCU II
(ppl advise me to GTX770 for performance ... but exp)
- Asus Radeon R9-270X DirectCU II 2GB DDR5

Which is better and value for money. Thanks to all advice in advance.

Asus cards have the best cooling and you should be prepared to pay a premium for it. Other brands perform similarly but are way cheaper.

Below $400 can try wait awhile for other brands to bring in the R9 280.

It is said to be about the same from the previous 7950 but slightly better.

Im sure powercolor will release it at below $400 since their r9 280X is at $404, unless turbo duo version which is at $439.

Or can consider hooting clearance MSI GTX 670 2GB Power Edition @ $379 or GTX 680 2GB @ $419, where both performance are close to R9-280X and definitely ahead of GTX 760....

Any shop. It depends on who do you talk to when you walk in and your negotiation skills. We're in SIngapore.
