need help on graphics card

hi,

bought battlefield 4. installed. played for 5mins and think my graphic card suddenly died.

currently using amd radeon HD 7700 series.

can anyone recommend a decent card that can run games like bf4 or dota 2 etc. im not looking at super high end cards. dont need to run ultra setting etc. high or medium setting seems find.

my spoild hd 7700 apparently can run bf1. and die when running bf4. sigh......

budget hopefully less than 350.

or can anyone confirm my card is dead..lol..the symptom is

start up PC, at the asus logo screen, it become a colourful screen. cannot see anything. tried to enter delete to go into bios, but when bio loaded.cant see...inly see the colour pixle screen. . den login to windows..everything is normal. but device manager show using integrated card.

then i took out the hd7700. and plug my monitor to the vga port of motherboard and start the PC. this time can see the asus logo and go in bio can see stuff.

well GTX 7700 is quite an old gpu already, since u can afford to buy a new one might as well just buy a new one.

but base on budget u can only get Zotac GTX 1060 3GB @329 unless u dun mind up your budget u can consider Zotac GTX 1060 6GB @399.

next since u say u dun really need a high end u can consider palit GTX 960 @199 (lazada)

GTX 1060 6GB is your best bet for now. Can get at $340 after Qoo10 coupon discounts...

Your CPU and MOBO still ok no bottleneck unless you buy GTX 1070 and play in 1440p or above then maybe.

Cheapest for now = GTX 960 2GB.

If you really cannot afford anything more than $350, current generation I recommend a RX 470 4GB.

Performance review for BF4 suggests it can run at roughly 60fps on the highest settings in 1080p. Dota 2 doesn't have a high specification requirement, so this should do just fine.

Performance wise, the RX 470 is roughly 33% better than the GTX 960 and only 10% under the 970. While the review is based on the Strix OC, the difference between that and the reference card is only about 6% in 1080p.

Nothing wrong with oc.
The other the price will drop too eventually.
They clearing stock brand by Brand.

well since u still find that all reco is overkill, u can consider this 2 model : GTX 750ti or GTX 950.

not sure whats their current pricing, but should be cheaper than GTX 1060 and GTX 960.

these 2 model definitely will not be overkill and they are few tiers up but i wont reco u to get either models for your BF4 unless u dun mind tune down your graphic settings and playing at 1080p

no offence. im not dismissing the reco by ppl here. i do find some reco useful. as mentioned, gtx seems to be a good fit. having said that, there are so many brand and types even for 960. like oc vs no oc. palit vs asus vs other brand etx. and im kind of confused what to get. even for 960 itself, the price difference can be quite a bit which puzzled me.
