A PC I am using has a dX11 card, GeForce GT540M (laptop) and the Nvidia site says it can run up to shader 5.0, but however I cannot run games that has pixel shader 1.1, 2.0 or any games that directly launches without using the browser. I can play web games that run java using directX though.
I've also tried to manually specify the program itself to run with the dedicated graphics from the Nvidia control panel. The nvidia indicator says that I am using dedicated graphics to run the program, however on games like league and Dota2 it simply crashes or gives me a shader 2.0 error. I have done sfc/scannow and updated my graphic drivers to 320.18 (june'13). I have also done dxdiag (64bit) with no errors. I have the most recent version of dxdiag. All my other drivers on this PC are also up to their latest working drivers.
CPU: i5-2410M, 4GBDDR3.
