Need Help on itinerary

Hi All,

Need advise from experts.

My wife and I will be departing next month for Taiwan(First time there). We will be spending 8 nights there.

Our high level plan is as follow:
1. Reach TaoYuan airport(reach airport at 6am)
2. Depart for Hualian (intend 2 nights)
3. Depart for CingJing Farm (1 night)
4. Depart for Alishan (1 day tour)
5. Depart for Taichung (2 nights)
6. Depart for Taipei. (?? nights)

Question is:
1. How we get from 1 -> 2? Is 2 nights at hualian too much?
2a. We understand that CingJing farm is between Hualian and AliShan. How long is the journey? Way to get between the 2 places? Cause I understand its be car? Or any other transport?
3. We realize that from 3 to 4, we have no place to place our luggage. Anyone can advise on 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> 5? Or shall we stay one night at the Jiayi area??
4. At this point of time, if we have clearer idea for 3, 4 and 5, think our itinerary.

Or any other transport? journey from hualien to chingjing takes at least 1 whole day. you need to travel through the mountains and its best to hire a driver but that will be expensive. many people combine that with a tour of taroko gorge. given that you arrive late in evening in chinging, you might want to spend at least 1 day there to explore the place.
3. We realize that from 3 to 4, we have no place to place our luggage. Anyone can advise on 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> 5? Or shall we stay one night at the Jiayi area?? don't understand your questions. you bring your luggage with you everywhere rite? unless you intend to backtrack to collect luggage?
4. At this point of time, if we have clearer idea for 3, 4 and 5, think our itinerary. again don't understand what help you need here...

Hi, thanks for the reply. Actually my main concern is I believe alishan is like somewhere between cingjing farm and taichung. So my question is nomarlly for people who visit alishan from hualian, or taichung, normally how you all plan your trip. Hope my question is consize.

Hi all,

Actually we now plan to drop hualian, due to the limited number of days we are in Taiwan.

So may I ask if we were to plan the following itinerary:
1. Taichung
2. Alishan
3. sun moon lake
4. CingJing farm

All within like 4 days, is it too much?

And also, may I ask is Taroko National Park far off from Sun Moon Lake?
