need help on laptop

if i get a 2nd laptop
can i just change to a ssd for the hdd?

or i buy a new laptop and change out the hdd to a sdd?
is it hard?

for a normal user it will be hard, but if you do know what you are doing then it won't be an issue.

Most of the time SSD size is smaller then your existing drive.
You have to follow the following steps.

1. make sure the space used in existing drive can fit into
the new drive.
2. clone an image of existing drive using software like acronise to an external drive.
3. replace the old drive. You should be able to google for the model you want to replace. The steps are about the same.
4. clone the backup of the image back to the drive.
5. If boot up everything fails, put back the original hard drive.
6. Good luck.

New or old, it will not impact your upgrade to SSD. Most importantly, u pick a model that is upgrade friendly. Not all laptop allows easy upgrade.
