Need help on new PC~

Hey guys, I'm currently running a 4770K rig and I think it's time for an upgrade. I haven't been following with the news much but from what I've gathered after reading, AMD has surpassed Intel haha. I came up with the following specs for the new rig:

ASUS STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI + 5900X - $1238
GIGABYTE RTX 3060 TI GAMING PRO 8GB - $799
CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX 3200MHZ CL16 32GB - $219
ADATA XPG S40G RGB 1TB NVMe M.2 - $229
WD BLUE 3.5" 5400RPM - $138
SEASONIC FOCUS GX-750W FULL GOLD 10YRS - $175
BEQUIET DARK ROCK 4 PRO - $135
NZXT H510 WHITE ATX T-GLASS CASE - $125

Total: $3058

I'm mainly using it for content creation like Photoshop, Premiere Pro etc. , and the occasional gaming when I feel like it.

Just wanna check if there's anyway I can cut the cost lower? Preferably <$3k. Since I'm using an Asus board & Gigabyte GPU in my current rig and they're pretty reliable, I don't think I'll go for other brands.

5800X or 5900X?
Is there a need for the 3060 Gaming Pro or can I just go with the Gaming OC?
For the ram, will a Gskill Ripjaws V work as well?
And for the PSU, is a 650W enough or do I have to go for a 750W?

Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks~

Maybe dun use Asus brand. Go for MSI B550 Gaming Edge Wifi instead. MSI quite reliable too.
NVme maybe can drop to 500G.
PSU can go for Coolermaster
Change to a cheaper case, they have a CM E500L that is $69

Ram, ssd and hdd get from amazon.sg. get brands like western digital or Seagate that has international warranty and service center in SG.

Get a cheaper mobo like steel legend

3060 so ex? It was like 600+ for brands like palit and zotac. You should go for these two if gaming is not your priority due to long warranty

If you really insist on brand loyalty, hard to save money. You can get a 3070 at that price.

asus is now just overpriced nowadays, they are usually good quality but the price hike is not worth it in my opinion. especially their rog strix series parts, those are purely to flex with exorbitant pricing, offering little noticeable upgrades over more value offerings from other manufacturers.

i would recommend u get the 5800x instead. in premiere pro benchmarks, it sits quite nicely between the 5600x and 5900x, but costs closer to the 5600x than the 5900x. in photoshop there is hardly any difference between the 5800x and 5900x. im not even sure if sls will even sell u the 5900x and mobo combo without buying a full pc from them since 5900x stock is very tight in sg, which will definitely cost u extra.

i would also recommend u change ur motherboard; msi makes very good b550 boards, and their b550 tomahawk is excellent value for money. assuming u can get the 5800x + tomahawk combo from pct as well, that costs just shy of $1k, saving u at least $200. even with the 5900x its still over $100 cheaper than the strix mobo.

for ssd and ram, just get them off amazon. local pricing is insane compared to amazon sg. u can snag a top of the line samsung 970 evo 1tb for $195 and a decent teamgroup 32gb 3200mhz kit for $170, both with shipping included. sure u lose local warranty but amazon cso shouldnt be too bad either.

no comments on the other parts, though the psu is a good pick.

side note: having a hard time believing pct pricelist, they list cpu only prices at basically local msrp, which is impossible at this point in time. so unsure if their cpu + mobo pricing is accurate either.

Gigabyte gpu have psu so u can save on that

Cooler can get Fuma2, if you not into extreme overclocking and turn pbo off. Can get around 70+ on various online shopping platforms.

Casing can choose coolermaster nr600 or lian li 215, for better airflow, not saving much for 215 though. Corsair 4000D airflow, if you want white case.

Also, besides PCT, which other shops are recommended to get the PC assembled?
Don't really have the time to DIY everything now so it'll be best if I can one stop everything.

Fuwell, PCThemes you can get quote from there.
Buying from overseas is cheap but warranty can be quite hassle.
Example RAM if spoilt have to ship overseas for RMA.

if you want to save money, you can try ordering those smaller components like ram and ssd oversea, since the price is better.

those expensive ones like gpu/mb/cpu get locally for warranty claims.

if using ethernet only, no wifi needed, better to save the $20 or so and get the tomahawk. but if need wifi, the gaming edge would be the better deal.

For local parts can wait for big online sales event (provided have stock) if you can afford to wait (stack all the vouchers). Lazada next one should be in March (Birthday Sale), Shopee should be next month, 1.1 Sale.
