Need help on new rig

Hi all,

Need some advice and suggestions for a new gaming rig:

games played (cs:go, project cars, x-plane 11)
will be doing some light video editing

I'm not planning to overclock my cpu. Would want to try a ryzen cpu for this build.

I'm considering whether i should get a gaming monitor, maybe the Asus pg279q. Not sure whether it's worth the money as it's quite an investment. But if i do get it, I should be running a gtx 1070 rig.

I'd recommend the components before the / as they are of better quality.

SSD/HDD Size get depending on what you need. 120GB SSD will only be enough for OS and a handful of games.

With regard to pricing, now not good time to purchase GPU. Also, a mixture of buying from Lazada/Qoo10 when there are coupons/discount and from SLS will give you the best prices. Have to do some research. But in general, now RAM & GPU prices are pretty high.

To add on, I'm not a Ryzen user so not that sure on which Mobo is optimal, maybe can get advice on that from other bros here

Based on this specs, I would change a bit of stuff to maximize budget and further cater for the video editing/rendering.

Saw that prices are higher now due to the mining craze. Any idea how many percent higher are prices now compared to before the craze?
