Need help!!! Pc boot up but no display

My desktop able to boot up with all the fans spinning and the sound of my harddrive, but there's no display the monitor's led do blink.


It's a old pc that I never uses for 5yrs, last night I'm able to boot up to see what I stored in the PC but now I can even boot into the bio....


No beeps.

Tried changing the psu still failed.


What could be the problem? Motherboard? Cpu?

Confirmed Mobo añd CPU burnt....


Should I go for the Ryzen $400 Mobo,CPU,ram route or second hand Intel Mobo and CPU $259 route?

So if after I clean and dust the gpu slot still no display that mean my motherboard is a goner right?

Just buy a replacement will do?

I sent my pc for repairs after 4days there's still no news from technician.... So I'm thinking of fixing the problem on my own...

next time no need pay someone to troubleshoot old pc. you already change psu. cpu rarely the issue.

next you try cleaning and swapping around ram.

then try remove graphics card.

if still no beep, then is motherboard. simple no need 4 days

If u sent to a professional PC technician, just wait for his reply. After all, u alr paid for the service already.
Or bring chassis down to sim lim. PC Theme or the Nigel guy might help. But I think the Nigel guy gone already after so many years.

Busy with work so I chose a shortcut asking ppl to fix for me but who know 4days later still no results...

Not very sure he is professional or not he said will call me the next day to confirm with me whether I want them to repair the PC

Did you try to remove/reinsert or replace the cmos battery?
You can put a flat head screwdriver inbetween the 2 metal pins on jbat1 on your motherboard for 10 sec to reset the cmos and try rebooting the pc.

Just Google his shop most his reviews are made by dummy accounts... darn should have check before I sent it for repairs...

your cpu has onboard graphics, if have can test to see you get any output from there, then can narrow down further. Might just be pcie-lane or something

Can't rmb it's a old pc that build at SLS.... The tech guy called say mostly motherboard spoil he need more time to test as he currently away for errands....

If you are only interested in the data stored inside, can always remove the HDD and use a USB cable attachment.

Is how old system? No point spent 2-300 to ask ppl fixed the system...rather spent to buy new Mobo CPU ram.

Better get new PSU too, else you risk the old PSU killing your new rig.

Replace the mobo , cpu, ram with b450+3500x+16gb ram price below $450

If you engage or find PC repair like on Caurosell, some are either
freelancers or students doing PC repair.
If they have a shop you can go down and check what is the status.

If no shop, like home or some place than it would be hard.
If you want to save $ than request for the PC to be return,
in my opinion probably the person trying somehow to savage it.

Either parts for old PC are hard to come by or trying some ways
to make it work.

$450 for mobo, CPU, ram but:

- PSU have to change
- Windows have to reinstall, you can't clone/copy Windows
from another PC to the new one unless it is using the same motherboard.
Neither you can just plug in the old hard disk in the new mobo,
it will BSOD especially if it was from a Intel to AMD motherboard.

For now best retrieve the PC back first.
