Hello, its my first time building a rig, so im not very good at this so i need some advice.

My budget is somewhere below 1k, and mainly i just want to play FF14 smoothly(my previous pc is at >20fps :v). Also i would need the rig to have wireless as my table is too far from the fibre modem to attach a cable.

My friend has given me this build, please advice, thanks!
(no idea if it can do wireless though, im really dumb at this kind of stuff)

CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-3350P + ASRock B75M-DGS @ $271
RAM: Kingston ValueRAM DDR3-1600 CL11 8GB @ $97
GPU+PSU: PowerColor R9-270 2GB OC + FSP Hexa 500W [80 Plus] @ $298
HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB @ $76
ODD: Samsung 22X CD/DVD Writer [OEM] @ $20
CASE: Xigmatek Asgard XP @ $45

Who is your friend? :s13:

He probably simply copied from one of the threads here and pass it off as his... :s22:

And how far is the modem/router really away from the table? 10-15m is still ok though...

Hahahaha at least his friend is smart enough to take the part list from here as compared to others who give ridiculous specs

Hi Jian19, which shop will you recommend in Sim Lim for building of a brand new system?

Parts:
PCtheme~ Good service, reliable, moderate pricing, good for beginners
TradePac~ Good service if they like your face, bad if they don't, Lowest pricing as can bargain plus request for price match if their products are more ex. Not recommended for beginners as they will psycho you buy more ex parts or things you don't need if you are not firm in your stand.
Cybermind~ if you got too much money to spend, go there and get chop

Assembly:
Gs store~ go there treat him nice and kopi money he will help you assemble (he is a nice guy, do give him a nice tip for the assembly)
