My Dell E1909W has serve me a good 8 years and is time to retire. It is starting to show white lines across the screen, and tend to flicker. Some ill days, the screen even gradually become blurrish and i need to on/off my monitor to get it back working.

Am not a tech savvy person, so here i am coming in to seek expert advice on the next monitor to adopt.

My requirements:
1) Basic usage - no an avid gamer, mostly watching videos & tv shows
2) On for quite long - Can up to 10 hours a day
3) Prefer something that is good for the eye (some blue light protection etc?)
4) Am running on an old pc, not sure if the the graphic is too old for a too good monitor? - intel(r) uhd graphics 630

Also would like to ask if u know of any upcoming sales as well ?

I did abit of researched and understand that prism monitor which has been a hyped is not exactly a good purchase? I got a Prism TV and it was kind of good but when i try to search for their monitor, it wasnt as good as their tv. seems like Dell is the upcoming monitor brand to get?

There was IT Show just ended this weekend. Dell direct online is the best place to get.

The main difference is if you need height adjustable stand or not

Hmm... i tried to compare a couple of monitors from dell direct and online platform, it seems online platform has better price.

Dell UltraSharp 24 Monitor: U2419H
Dell UltraSharp USB-C Hub Monitor - U2421E

The above 2 model worth a 150 diff ?
2421 has WUXGA while 2419 is 1080P . WUXGA really that good ?

I have the u2421e. I would say the extra 150 is worth it if you absolutely need the type C connection and the Ethernet.

The wuxga resolution is great to scroll less. But that's just for my use case.

Depends on your use case and if you need full HD or higher resolution

If you don't have any specific requests, a 24" Dell S series for $160 is sufficient.

that's quite a solid one. but for me , getting a new monitor cant possibly be getting a sturdy old model tt can last for 5 yrs mah. gotta get as of now, the latest technology de. mine last for good 8 years, abit cant bare to discard.

thanks for the reviews and advices.
Am now aiming for Dell U2419H

pls feel free to share if anyone come across a good price for this. else i am trying to wait till lazada sales to see if there's any promo.

What are the key things to consider other than the size of the screen? Looking to buy 1 as well.
1) IPS or TN panel.
2) quick response time .
3) refresh rate.
4) blue light filter.
5) hdmi and display port.

I think U series are overrated for nowadays. Because LG using same panel / qty of ips with half the price .

So basically ur only paying for the premium return service for the extra few hundred dollars

All the sellers had coincidentally increase price for monitor. The Dell S cost $30 more.

Dell UltraSharp USB-C Hub U2421HE has built charger able to charge laptop connected via USB-C cable.
It is a single cable for monitor to charge laptop and video signal from laptop to monitor.
You don't need even the laptop charger.
