Need help sequence for XMD, shilin, danshui

Need help to fine tune one of my days. Family of 4 (with one 6yo and teenager) planning to set off around 2pm from zhongshan mrt to visit XMD , Shilin and Danshui then back to zhong shan. Which order should I go?

Read that Danshui has a nice sunset which is around 4.30pm now in November? And when does XMD come alive, night time better? Lol shilin also comes alive at night too?

Ideal seems to be danshui 1st. After sunset 5pm go XMD. then about 8pm+ go shilin, but that means back and forth on the MRT ...

I think time will be too tight to fit in all 3 leh. Danshui > shilin will be good though. Danshui > shilin > xmd i think will be too tired for the kid.

I was just staying in xmd last week. Tried to fit national palace museum (near shilin station), danshui and shilin night market in one day. Started the day around 9am but my kids were too tired and grumpy after danshui and went back to xmd for dinner instead around 7pm.

It was a Sunday and danshui old street was pretty packed when we reached around 3pm. Can spend quite a few hours there due to crowd and there's quite a lot of shopping, food etc along the old street

Danshui reach around 2pm then continue to fisherman's wharf for sunset, finish off with shilin on the way back..

For xmd I would suggest that u put it for another night..it's happening after 6-7pm..

can always take a look at the metro stations to plan your itinerary. i find it quite useful to refer to the station locations and plan my trip accordingly. XMD and danshui is v v far apart and the journey will take like an hr liao.. prob can make xmd a separate trip on another day.
