Just bought a bx2, Marantz PM6005 & Audioquest flx slip 14/4(biwiring). I'm having problems setting them up.
Really confused with the speaker cables since I'm really new to hifi. I've looked up online about the color codes, which is potive & negative but ended up with no sound, I've posted a link of my setup. Please help :(

The connection seems correct.

But however what is the source that you are connecting it to?

PC? Via what cables?

Only cable running is a really old optical cable to pc, tried it with PS4 & still no sound. Don't think the optical cable is the issue cause I tried it with my headphones & it works.

It could be your avr settings. Check what optical port is it at?

Usually when you connect the optical input on avr side you have to set which input you are using. For instance if your optical port you using is optical 1. Set the avr to receive audio from optical 1.

And from your PC, if you are using onboard sound card, select optical output as your default device at the sound properties by right clicking your volume section.

I should've bought the banana plugs, made my life hell for me cause I need to make sure every individual copper strand made it in :(

Switched to A terminal & it sounded much much better. Checked the manual on their website & MA Bx2 rated at 8 ohms.

Does your receiver end able to set the impedance rating?

Cause I know some receiver allow to change it.

Nope, not on the amp or the remote, but there's a loudness button that gives 'power' to the sound without distorting which is really nice.

Overall really impressed with the amount that I spent, maybe cause it's my first hifi setup:s13:. Only used them for less than an hour & it needs some serious burn in from both the cable & speakers.

I see. I would prefer a passive speakers with avr receiver. Got all the connectivities, and more passive speakers to choose from and a very powerful amp to drive those passive speakers you like.
