hi i have installed a 60GB ssd in my computer as a boot drive. but the problem is that many essential programs and files are getting installed in it makeing the ssd full. Now when every i try to open pictures or download small files from the internet is states insufficient memory. Is there a way to use the ssd as just for OS and my 2TB HDD for all the programs and files. because at time the programs installs it in the ssd there is no option to change the drive.

Thank you

To be honest, 60GB is best used as a cache using Intel's SRT. This way, you get a snappy desktop, and still plenty of space to go around on your mechanical drive. But at least make sure your mechanical drive is not a slower 5400rpm drive.

For your current cause, there should always be an option to install your program files on another drive. I've been doing that for a long time since SSD storage sizes is quite limited. ;)

Installation of applications/games should be on SSD drive, else the mechanical HDD will slow down the load time of your applications/games and hence defeat the purpose of fast load time of SSD.

Get a bigger SSD and periodically un-install unwanted/unused stuffs.

You may install the program/games in your secondary drive (HDD).

My case is I install Windows 7 and any online-multiplayer games (such as CoD Black Ops 2, Battlefield 3) in my 512GB SSD, any games (for example, Deus Ex: Human Revolution)/ software which does not require online are installed in my 1TB HDD.

Use ccleaner to clear the cache or temporary file to clear out some space, those files are probably left over after they were used to install software in your temporary folders.
