Need help to finalize rig

Hi guys, need help on finalizing my rig, of which I will be getting them around the 3rd week of dec, and there are still parts that I am undecided so I want to seek some advice/comment from the peeps here.

For this rig, it is going to be for both gaming and 3D modelling/ rendering, etc.
And I do not need OS and will not OC.

Gaming wise, it will be games like Assassin's Creed series, Crysis, BF 4 and so on... For the 3D and graphical aspect, I am using mainly Rhinoceros 4 and Keyshot 3 and will be venturing into 3D max and Vray in future. Along the side will be Photoshop (PS) and Illustrator (AI). Usually I tend to use more of AI than PS but that may change in future.

Like many, I have gotten some of the parts on Amazon during the Black Friday sales which I have listed them below.

From SLS:
CPU + Mobo: i7-4770 + (reco a mobo)
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 770 4GB 565 (mynextcom) or R9 290 (waiting for the non ref)
I need help to decide between this 2
HDD: 1 TB WD Blue 78 or 1 TB WD Black 108
Is WD Black worth the extra $$?
PSU: Seasonic x650 169 (mynextcom)
Or any reco for fully modular PSU
ODD: Any brand 25
Monitor: Dell 23" IPS U2312HM 250

Bought:
Ram: Avexir 2 x 4GB (Blue) [Kuan Yu]
SSD: Intel 530 240GB [Amazon]
Case: Corsair 750D [Amazon]

Budget:~1.5k -1.6k

Will be buying from Trapac and diy, as most of the price on TP pricelist is not stated, so I just put in mynextcom's price.

for your processor feel you should get the K version and then get the Z87 mobos. gives you more options should you want to oc at a later date etc..

I know, for the value the card seems good, but I am not sure when will the non-ref version coming out..
