Supposing I am listed as a co-borrower of a property now, (but not the owner), how do I go about taking over ownership and the mortgage? Is it as simple as paying stamp duty and take over the ownership??

Hi, it is best that you engage a lawyer to do this for you. There are various documents to prepare and sign. And yes, any transfer of title will attract stamp duty.
