Hi! Was gifted a Palit 3060 StormX (12gb) and looking to build a mid tier gaming rig around it for 11/11.

-Budget $750-$1000 w/o the GPU, monitor, kb/mouse & OS.
-Mainly play valo/dota2/csgo with LOTS of chrome tabs open on the second monitor.
-Aesthetics not a concern for me.

I'm a tech noob so please suggest some builds with the 3060, thanks!

damn lucky.

for the rest of the system, a basic one will do, with more than enough ram since u said u multitask w chrome tabs. prices from dynacore:
r5 5600 + asrock b550m pro4$373
gskill ripjaws 2x 16gb ddr4 3600mhz$168
1tb wd black sn770$158
super flower legion gx pro 650w$105
tecware nexus air m2$45
there are also more interesting matx cases like the tecware fusion, so if u prefer a smaller form factor for eg u could browse a few casing options as there is still budget remaining. i would also suggest considering ram and ssd from amazon sg, as u can get a silicon power 32gb ram kit for about 110 and the same nvme for 140, though u may lose out on local warranty support.

This Carousell user selling a refurbished i7 8700K RTX 2080ti 32 GB Ram 750w PSU Phanteks P400S Casing Cryorig H7 Premium Gaming / Workstation PC for S$1,188. You can try ask seller if you just want the rig without RTX 2080TI GPU since you already have a RTX 3060 on hand. Looks like a pretty good deal, what say you guys?

Thanks for this!
I prefer having local warranty for the peace of mind :ROFLMAO:

At that price, rather go for new build.
Intel i7 8700k with Intel Z370 are dated 2018, about 4 years old.
Buying second hand PC, you have to maintain/check for any problem.

I know some just buy just use but in fact best bring to a shop check through.
As well as do a clean install of Windows. (Not reset).
More cons than pros buying a used gaming PC especially at $1.2k for dated hardware.
