hi guys,

i'm looking to build a gaming new rig, low midrange, and i need advice on the parts and prices

My requirements are;
-For the GPU i need something that can play a game that has the graphics standard of assasin's creed 4 at high (hopefully max) settings (r9 280x?)
-Mobo that supports usb 3.0
-1tb hdd (ssd will be bought separately from amazon)
- i5 processor (any real benefit of buying 4xxx over 3xxx CPU?)
-budget of about 1.2k

any recommendations??
also, are there any other parts that can be bought from amazon which have significant discounts over sls?

Need monitor ? OS ?

1.2k

i5-4570 + Msi b85m g43 ~ $347
Crucial 8gb ddr3 ~ $90
Wd blue 1tb ~ $74
Powercolor 280x ~ $425
Seasonic s12g 550w ~ $99
CM n200 ~ $60
Win7 64 oem ~ $115

$1210 buy and DIY @ tradepac ask for discount.

Can consider gtx760 which should be able to play the game quite smoothly on high settings.

There is no gtx760 ti yet..

Yes 280x = gtx770 performance

Gtx760 is a mid range card price around $320-$350

G550 is semi modular power supply which will gives u better cable management and cleaner build

Better case for better dust prove, air flow, cable management etc

It's up to u really, if u wan to save $ then the first recommendation is perfectly fine

CM n200 is a good entry level case as well

For just $15 more, no waiting time, no troublesome overseas RMA/

ODD: Samsung 24X CD/DVD Writer [OEM] @ $21
PSU: Seasonic S12G 550W [80 Plus Gold] @ $99

Buy others from Tradepac, #05-18.

I recommend msi gtx 760 twin frozr

2gb or 4gb, u decide. :)

760 2gb. 4gb is for 4k and the 760 wont run 4k smoothly so juz get 2gb

juz get a zotac or palit... they cost less. i rmbring getting for my friend a zotac 2gb "high end ver" with twin fan for less than $350 frm tp.

And Zotac comes with 2+3 years warranty.
