Hi guys, im looking to build a desktop. I play games like black ops, gta, assassin creed, dragon quest heroes, etc. Will be playing at 1080p, not looking to play 2k n above. Not gonna OC.

Im looking at
Cpu : i5-6500
Motherboard: msi b150 mortar (any other recom? How is this compared to gaming m3?)
Ram: G skill 8gb 2400mhz cl15 ddr4
Gpu: palit gtx 970 jetstream
Ssd: 850 evo/pro (this is quite hard for me to decide, looking to buy 512/500gb)
Hdd: WD blue 7200rpm, 1TB.

For the ssd, any difference between evo n pro in terms of gaming?

I believe im still lacking of other parts like casing n psu. Do i need to have cpu cooler?

No need of OS, keyboard, mouse and monitor.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

the 850 pro will last longer, but at a higher cost. no difference for games, however. at most 1-2 seconds. download most of your games into your hdd instead, unless said game loads very slowly(fallout 4).

only skylake overclockable cpu(those with 'k' at the end)don't include cpu coolers, the 6500 includes it so you don't need a cooler.

any size and color preference for your rig?

Based on your parts list i think you should have no trouble getting it below your budget.

Cpu : i5-6500 - $465 (cpu+mobo combo)
Motherboard: msi b150 mortar (any other recom? How is this compared to gaming m3?) -
Ram: G skill 8gb 2400mhz cl15 ddr4 - $125
Gpu: palit gtx 970 jetstream - $479 on lazada
Ssd: 850 evo/pro (this is quite hard for me to decide, looking to buy 512/500gb) $139 for the evo
Hdd: WD blue 7200rpm, 1TB. - $75

PSU: Seasonic M12ii 650W modular - 102
Case: Up to you preference. Can be as cheap as $75

Total: $1460

Still can save more if you choose kingston value ram($79) and maybe a cheaper non modular PSU(shave off another $20 maybe).

I just bought the H170 gaming m3. If you ask me the only reason i got it was coz of looks. The red accents went very well with my red theme. Other than that honestly at this price point i dont think the diff in features are that much or really matter to us end users.

Im basing my build from the price list of pctheme. I cant find the season m12ii 650w. Will it harm my pc is i get the 620W or its better to get 650W? I believe PSU shld be based on gtx 970 (500W) right?

As for the ram, i think i will get the kingston 8gb ddr4 ram instead. I dont think my motherboard can utilise up to 2400mhz. Haha

Wifi adapter comes in several connectivity options. Through USB or PCI-E. Recommended would be Intel AC 7260 if I'm not wrong about the model number.
