From cingjing need to go kaohsiung, may i ask how you gonna do it?
Still need to head back to taichung take hsr or train or bus to south.
There is no way to go kaohsiung direct from cingjing.
That is why i say it is messy.
Just my opinion, do not take it to heart.

I am going to TPE in Nov and am planning to venture to Hua Lien. Is there anything you would recommend? So far, I am only planning to go Taroko gorge, cycling around the beach and night market.

eh when you say day trip, u mean 1 full day in hualien? or a day trip from your base outside of hualien

considering hualien tourist spots are mostly scenery, its really subjective on how many places u wanna go ba
i booked a full day toroko gorge cab (3000twd for 8 hours from 9am); even so i cant hit all the places in the gorge
