well come to think about it i know what i want.. but kinda bad with the mix and matching

budget: not more than or around 2k(hope can fit in the budget)

since its a new build so mostly all needed to buy except for windows

Eg of what i planning to get

Processor
Intel i7-4790K with H100i(oc my current 1 to 4Ghz so dont feel like going lower)
Mainboard
Not sure
Graphics Card
970 or amd equivalent but not sure which is it
Memory
this i can just get the 2x8gb ram as long as its compatible with motherboard (ddr3/ddr4)
Display
since playing fps mainly bf4 so would prefer 144hz monitor?
any recommendations?
Storage
do add 250gb evo in the price list
this i can manage myself
Optical Storage
i think i wont get this since i reformat also use usb so..yea..haha
Casing
Corsair 540D (love the look )
PSU
not sure which is good ? any recommendations?
Audio
will just use on board
Speakers
have already
Windows 8.1 OEM
Have already

So any pricelist that can fit in the budget?
i think the monitor will have to wait since i see most of the 144hz are $500?

Ask yourself why do you need a new rig when your profile rig is still relevant till date.

Retain the mobo and cpu. There's not big difference from your i7 to the current i7. If you are just gaming that will be worse for you to buy an i7.

Anyway just give your rig a small upgrades

Change your ram to dual 4gb. It's more than sufficient for gaming needs unless you need to use for professional programs.

Next is a bigger SSD. Get at least a 256gb. Go for reputable brands such as Plextor, Intel, crucial or Samsung.

Your GPU is still relevant till date with the r9 280x. Not unless you into your 144hz monitor then you will need to get another single powerful card such as r9 290x.
