Managed to get it to boot at 4.1 with 2667 mhz and 1.38v. Cinebench stable but lower score of 1597 o.o

MSI BIOS can change SoC voltage (includes imc)?

Stock seems to be <0.9V. Most modest ram oc seem to be on 1V or slightly higher voltage bump increments.

I don't own a Ryzen sorry :(, maybe other bros can help. :)

At least its known that there's an item called vSOC or SOC voltage in asrock, asus. Not sure where is it in MSI BIOS.

High chance you are overheating. Lol.

Use hwinfo to see your temps instead when benchmarking.

Or use amd own software

wah you were right. i downloaded hwinfo and ran cinebench. Temps were 53degrees on idle and went up to 88 on benching.:s22:. So is thermal throttling? Is this bad for the CPU? Thought Ryzen has a temperature offset of 20 degrees? Does it mean my actual temp could be 68 deg and not 88?

Have defaulted back to auto settings in the meantime.

Very easy to see if it throttles. Use aida64 that will tell you if it throttles on stress test.

Hmm think better not bench liao until new cooler arrives . I see the 88 degree on cinebench i scare liao x.x. scared later cpu burn ><. Will try aida64 when it arrives
Thanks ah!
Thanks

Ran cinebench again at 4.1 at 2400mhz, surprised i got higher score than 2667 mhz. 1612 vs 1590 **.

Hwinfo(latest beta with Tdie) was reporting 73.3 degrees while benching. IIRC the Tjmax for Ryzen was 75.5?

Seems like i found out the problem.

CPU-Z was refusing to recognize my 4.1 OC and was defaulting back to 3.6 during Cine hence my low scores.

Ran 4.0 at 1.39v and manage to get it to recognise and validate. 1748cb so far.

Finally got my Taichi, happy running 4Ghz+ :s12:

Nice, what frequencies are you running at on the moment? 1800x?

Managed 4.05 at 1.39v.. validated but crashed on cine. Think im thermally limited.
