Have you bought any components?
If you want cheaper option the MSI Z97 PC Mate is pretty good and cheap.
For example,
CPU+Mobo: MSI Z97 PC Mate + i5-4690k @ $430~
RAM: Corsair/Kingston 1600MHz (4GBX2) @ $105~
GPU: GTX 970 depends on your preference, you may want to get from Lazada during offer on 7-9 April
PSU: Corsair CX 600W Semi Modular 80+ Bronze @ $110~ ,may want to wait for Lazada sale as well.
HDD: 1TB WD Black @ $100~
SSD: Samsung 120GB 840 Evo @ $110~, may want to wait for Lazada sale.
Case: Up to you but would be below $200 probably
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium/Windows 8 Home Premium @ $130~
Total @ $985~ without GPU and Case
So you would have $615~ budget for both GPU and Casing
However if you decide to wait for sales and discounts from Lazada or other places, you may have more money for your GPU/Case

Do note my pricing may not be the most accurate and only serves as a general guide.

Thanks for the recommendations, i dont really have a rough idea on how the other parts would fit together so i havent bought any yet. If possible are u able to recommend other part variation with similar specs? I play guild wars 2 quite enthusiastically nowadays. It seems the gtx970 and i5-4690k combo quite tight for my budget

if im able to get better specs then i dont mind la, but if possible i also want the genuine version=:p

Well actually if you don't mind you should get some parts 2nd hand to decrease your spending, but its personal preference. For example RAM if you get 2nd hand there is no difference since most RAMs are covered by lifetime warranty
