Need help with PC build!

Hi, I'm planning to build a custom PC with a rough budget of about $1000-1200.
Usage wise is mostly software development, opening lots of tabs, watching video, a little bit of photoshop & maybe casual gaming in the future.
Can someone recommend me a value build? This is what I have so far but I'm not sure if its ok (*sry im a nub)

1. CPU + Motherboard
- Intel 12600 + MSI Pro B660M-A Wifi D4

2. Memory
- Crucial Ballistix 16GB (2*8GB) DDR4-3200

3. Storage
- Samsung 970 Evo Plus 512GB

4. Power Supply
- FSP Group HV PRo 650 W80+ Certified ATX Power Supply

5. Case
- NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower Case


notes:
- picked 12600 cuz theres IGPU, so dont need gpu to run
- might consider getting a GPU later on if i decide to casual game
- not really urgent, can wait

id say its an ok ish build, although there is room for improvement if concerned about value.

1. CPU + Motherboard

the 12400 will do the job almost as well as the 12600 non k that u wont notice the difference, so its better to save the money here. the motherboard is a good pick though.

4. Power Supply
- FSP Group HV PRo 650 W80+ Certified ATX Power Supply

while it is by no means a bad psu, i would allocate more money for a better one. for pure value, i would recommend the super flower legion gx pro 650w, which sells for about 105 from tradepac, very cheap for a quality 650w psu from a reputable manufacturer (most retail above 140).

5. Case
- NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower Case

unless u get the h510 flow, nzxt h510 series have terrible airflow (also true for most of their other cases). furthermore, since the mobo is matx, i would go for a matx case. nzxt cases are pretty overpriced for what they are anyway. i would recommend the silverstone ps15-rgb @ ~60 (if u can still find it), cooler master nr400 @ 80 or tecware fusion for a compact build @ 90 (+12 for tg side panel).

ur picks for ram and ssd are decent choices and wont go wrong, though consider getting them from amazon sg if u werent already. gen 4 ssds dont make a convincing case for value.

Buy a cooler as well, the stock cooler like sh1t, 42 deg on idle
Budget cooler if not urgent, can buy snowman t4 cooler from aliexpress, i see review like good
If not ID cooling 224 xt from shopee also cheap
Good one will be scythe fuma2 but its a big cooler
U need to find cooler comes with lga1700 bracket

Actually, the fuma 2 is not big compared to other coolers, considering it has full ram clearance and only 154.5mm. It should fit most mATX cases. But ITX will be a problem.

What I like about Fuma 2 is despite the price, it doesn't seem to have evident cut corners. I am quite a picky fellow.

Fuma 2 ease of installation/removal is easily one of the best, and this is due to the mechanisms that have been designed with user-friendliness in mind. The build quality is also solid, and the performance/noise is impressive. It gets even better with the rev B, which also comes with native LGA 1700 mounting.

Previously, I used dark rock 4 and dark rock 4 pro. Their height is around 160mm, no full ram clearance, heatsink build quality is not as good as fins bend easily, and the fan clips are legit pain in the ass, especially during removal. The noise and performance were also subpar for the price. It's full of flaws despite costing a price premium.

Without the GPU, it costs around 1k. Based on the list, you should pick the 12400 instead of the 12400F for the iGPU.

It's important to note that the 12600 non-k variant is actually just a slightly faster 12400 and not the same as a 12600K which is around 40-45% faster. This is out of the norm for what intel usually does, don't be fooled by it.

The next step up from 12400/F is the 12600K/F and 12700/F.

12600K/F is the only 12th gen option with 10C16T, and there is nothing else at that price segment. It is also a justified option if you require more CPU resources despite the board not having the capability to OC.

Pick according to what you require.
