Need help with PC

Hello! Would like to ask for some help.

My PC doesnt boot up. basically all the fans spin for roughly 10 seconds, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter, then it will cut off and auto restart. PC doesnt go to boot and there is no beep sound, not sure what is the issue.


Unplug the GPU and used integrated GPU and also resit the RAMS as well. Tested with 1 stick of RAM at a time but problem still persist. Reapplied thermal paste to CPU also. All not working.

Is there a place i can bring to to diagnose or anything else I can do to diagnose the PC? Thanks!

You can bring to shops at Sim Lim Square lIke PC and solution LV3.
Either RAM and PSU are faulty.

I previously had an issue where it sometimes was unable to start, and stuck on A6 code with beeps (gigabyte mobo) and needed to reset the cmos for the uefi to properly boot. Also been getting a lot of windows stop code blue screen errors. But now seems like it’s more or less gone case.. could it be mobo dead?

Which motherboard are you using? A6 is Storage error so many storage controller not in correct configuration.

Mine is gigabyte z87x ud3h. Funny thing is that it would only occasionally have this boot up issue previously. But now it’s really unable to start and stuck in loop

It's really old motherboard:

- Check if RAM have any issue. If you are using mixture of different RAM brands maybe
try use one particular RAM brand like Corsair.
There are brand new Corsair DDR3-1600 RAM being sold at Sim Lim Square but the price ranges up
to $80 for 8GB.

- Change CMOS battery with CR2032
Motherboard this age the CMOS have worn out.

- Make sure your SATA controller is set to AHCI as well as use UEFI boot.
UEFI boot you will see Gigabyte Logo than desktop loads.

PC turn on than off could be RAM as well as PSU.
Budget PSU I can recommend is Seasonic S12III 550W/650W with 5 years warranty around $100.
Other PSU brand warranty only 1 to 3 years only.

Replace psu. if doesnt work motherboard is faulty. dont need to pay anyone to diagnose

Hey, try the two steps below if you know what to do (as in take-apart):

1. Unplug power cable from the power supply unit, press the “power on” button for a good 5 to 6 secs. Plug back back cable. Power on the PC, and see if it still boots. If not, repeat the same process again one more time.

if the above-step do not work, try this;

2. Detach fan, check if the thermal pad is still intact. If not, ensure the residual thermal pad is cleansed off with a good non-greasy solution e.g. zippo. Wipe the surfaces (base of the fan and/ or top of unit processor unit Totally Cleaned, ensure no particles then leave it for 15mins, then apply the new thermal pad (which requires you to purchase beforehand). Usually it comes in a small squarish compound that is paste-on type).

try out the first step first, if it doesn’t work, then check out the thermal pad before deciding to purchase a new thermal pad. Hope it works for you.

Is this a new pc you are building?

Or, its an old PC and this has unfortunately started to happen?
