Hi all, wanna ask for some advice from experts here.

Recently, my screen keep crashing after just 5 mins of video game play. (I am playing this mmorpg called Path of Exile, nothing intensive) I suspect it is a GPU problem as after much troubleshooting, i can hear unusual whirring when starting and playing the game, and then the screen will crash while the whirring stop. I have been playing the Witcher 3 on high settings recently and since i have finished the game (luckily) i think the toll it took on my GPU is starting to show. (RIP)

My full Rig: (rig is 3 years old)

CPU: Intel Core i5-3470 socket 1155 3.20 ghz quad core
MOBO: ASROCK H77 Pro4/MVP Socket 1155
RAM: GSkill 10600cl9s 4gb x2
GPU: Powercolor AX7970 3GBD5-2DHV3 PCI-E 3GB
PSU: FSP Aurum 92+ PT 550M Modular 550W Plat Rated PSU
Case: Sharkoon t28 mid tower chassis
Monitor: AOC I2757FH Full HD 27 inch LED IPS

My question: Due to budget constraints of around $200 and i don't have desire to max out games like witcher 3 for the moment, i am considering the ASUS R7 360. Any other card i should be looking for? i am fine with playing at 1920x1080. Just wanna play Path of Exile (graphics should be similar to LOL or Dota2 )

Dont wanna splurge 500 bucks again on the old card LOL

For reference, my old card:

Any comments and idea appreciated!

Hmm, was looking around and also considering

PowerColor TurboDuo R9 270 2GB GDDR5 OC.

Going from a 7970 to a R9 270 is a downgrade leh, are you certain you really want to spend $200 to downgrade?
