Hi guys, I haven't been DIYing for a long while so would like to seek advise on my wante rig, where to get the stuff (SLS i guess) at best price and should i change any of it. Mainly for blizzard games, steam games and probably future proof abit. won't be OCing.

1. i5 6600 + asus z170 A (not sure if this is what i should get)
2. corsair 2400 32gb
3. GTX970 (got already)
4. samsung 850 pro m2 500gb ssd (nor sure whats the diff with m2 and m sata)
5. casing? (looking at chio casing like Corsair 600c inverse, CM trooper)
6. PSU 1k (have already)

Budget is not more than 1.5k

Thanks in advance

1. If you're changing cpu, wait for kaby lake / zen
2. 16 gb not enough?
3. If you want future proofing, 970 maybe able to hold its own on 1080p. What resolution you're playing on?
4. M.2 is now more common than msata, and m.2 supports pcie x4 which is faster than sata. Can get 960 Evo but sata ssd also fast enough
5. Chio casing like Evolve atx / s340 elite?

1. do u need that mobo features? if no can get b150 or h170.
2. 16GB should be enough for u.
3. maybe can consider upgrade this 1st?)
4. need such a good SSD for??? even in gaming normal SSD is about the same as m.2 ssd.
5. kinda dunno whats your preference since both case u like are totally different.
6. how many years already???

overall i think those thing u get are more or less might reach 1k+ maybe near to 1.2k?

hi all, thanks for the reply.

I forget my current rig but its about 6 years ago already. Replying this fr office XD

for motherboard i am not sure what kind of features Z170 is different from h and b. cause too much to read. hahaa..

i think Ram get 32gb so can port over to never rig if DDR5 for ram is not out by then. but maybe really can consider 16 gb so i can save some money and pump it somewhere else.

for my SSD i chose it thinking it would be faster on the overall performance and loading times. or what SSD is recommended as good enough??

if i can save here and there maybe really can consider a GPU upgrade.

is there a need for cooling system??

as for casing it seems different but its based on the fatc that i put my comp on the left.. so inverse case to see the side panel. or else is the overall look that looks nice. haha

1 and 2. If you oc, then get Z mobo. Otherwise settle for h or b with 2133mhz ram. Z mobo for oc so get i5 6600k or i7 6700k. Z mobo support higher Hz ram also.
4. Don't get pro version. Not worth the money for that slight improvement. Get evo will do. M.2 you must check with the mobo you going after. Coz have m.2 sata and m.2 pcie and m.2 nvme. Don't get the wrong one.
5. Corsair 600c inverse. Corsair stuff have pretty good design for cable management.

If going oc route then go for liquid cool. If no oc stock fan will do.

Thanks man. That sounds about right. Corsair 600c inverse looks good as my desktop is on the left XD.
