Need help with upgrading of GPU.

Hi there, i need help with recommendations of GPU to play current and future AAA titles. Specifically Witcher 3, AC Unity, Batman Arkham Knight, on high-ultra settings at 1200p, 60fps. My budget would be $400-600.

My current specs are:

CPU: i7-3770@3.4Ghz
GPU: PowerColor TurboDuo R9 280 3GB GDDR5 OC
Mobo: AsRock B75M-DGS
RAM: Can't remember the model, but its 2x4gb.
PSU: Cooler Master: Thunder 500w (Do i have to upgrade it ?)

Do point things out and explain it to me, as i am not well versed in the technology aspect.
