Just changed my motherboard. But it won't boot up. It boots up for 5 seconds then it switches itself off again. Then it tries to boot up by itself and then after 5 seconds it dies again....this cycle keeps repeating itself until I switch off the mains.....really need help for this. I tried isolating the casing on/off switch but the problem still persists....any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Check your PSU connections and underneath the motherboard. Something in your system is causing a short circuit.

Is the motherboard BRAND NEW?
If yes, ensure the pins underneath r not shorted and clean your RAM slots.

Do you have the speakers for the motherboard, if you have plug in and listen for beep sounds, if dont have, take out everything and ensure put in properly again! and always try and use the bare minimum, for example just 1 ram instead of a few. AND try not to plug in your hard disk when testing till you can totally boot up:) let me know if you still need help, i encountered alot of problems when fixing coms riao hahahha
