Hi

I have a DIY desktop for 1 year, but recently after putting in a Creative soundcard i face the following problem

Once i off my desktop (meaning i switch off the main power), i cant seem to on it the next day. after which i will open the side panel of my rig and touch here touch there a bit then it can be on

Anyone can advise me on what is the issue?
am told by someone that it might be the power supply issue
I am using a Corsair RM750 PSW

My GPU is an Asus GTX780
My Soundcard is Creative Sound Blaster Z

Thanks in advance really need help :(

Your issue sound like contact problem. When can't turn on mean nothing happened when you press the power button or fans running but blank screen?

1. Try disconnecting the speakers from the sound card.

If that doesn't work,

2. Remove the sound card and clean the contacts on both card and slot with contact cleaner and/or compressed air.

My money is on a grounding issue with the speakers.

Your speaker could be faulty which could be causing the computer not to power on:vijayadmin:

sorry for asking a stupid question. My speaker is corsair SP2500 and drawing powers from main socket, it will also cause the system not to start up?

TS, try minimum modules to power up your desktop. If successfully, shutdown and add the next item and so on. In this way, you will find the one causing the power on issue.
