Am sad to hear that, my condolence..

if did not sync with google account... there is nothing that you can do... which means the contacts are in the phone itself.. don't think can be retrived. imo

or by any chance that the contacts are in the sim card?

Note 4 will be a hard nut to crack. If Knox active protection is switched on, you will not be able to root it also.

If you are able to root it, using file manager in recovery mode, you can delete the files containing lock password/swipe pattern. Hence removing the lock on the device.

Really appreciated the help.

I just tried kies and kies 3.

Old kies doesn't detect the device.

New kies 3 does detect device but in kies it asks for password to unlock.

T__T:(

It is a headache if the phone is not connected to Google account or Samsung account.

All the unlocking solution involves Google account or Samsung account to sign-in to the unlock phone function...without the accounts, it will be difficult.

We need experts who might know how to do this...

Have you tried using social media?
Contact mutual friends and inform them about it.
Let them inform more people about it.

tried asking but none have a solution.

The Android device manager can ring, locate, lock and erase device. ( able to login gmail PC )

I tried lock and end up it does not overwrite previous lock screen password.

thats the closes i could get. Even tried odin3 custom recovery but odin failed and restarted by itself. ( not sure whether need root anot but I do not have usb debugging or adb switched on!)

Read up chainfire and drkretan way of rooting note 4. If that fails, most likely Knox active protection is on. Then theres no way to root the phone.
Edit: read up at xda forum.
