Need help

Hi guys. Im quite new to Diy PC. Just made my very pc by watching YouTube. However today I encounter most probably overheating issues. Ran a few test. When gaming, I check my cpu temp was about -+53° and after awhile it turn off and on again.

So to any experience tech out there.

Is it because of overheating issues? Or power supply problem?
-Well I have applied thermal paste but still have yet to test.

And how do I avoid this kinda of situation or any precaution that I can consider?

Mobo: asrock H series with i5 7500 (if ik nt wrong) and using 3Rd party heat sink

And whats the 3 rd party cooler u using? And did u make sure u screw all of them is scross section to make sure the cpu cooler is really fixed on the board.

From what i see from the problem u faced, most probably eith the mobo or psu.

Think its coolermaster fan if im not wrong. Yup its secure properly.

53 celcius under load is very good. what problem are u actually encountering? fps drop? throttling?

Seems to be random reboots.

Maybe a PSU issue

Thats what I taught too. Looking on Google and all that. But some people say its overheating issues. But since you all says that 53° is quite normal. So now the problem lays either Mobo or psu?

So I might need to change the psu? Coz my psu is quite new..

Nonsense!! 53° under load is a good temp..
I'm on a i5 7600k and under game load is between 50-75° depends on the title of the games.. Idle temp is around 35° to 40°.

If your 8GB ram is on dual channel try using 1 stick of the ram at a time to see whether it helps.. Malfunction ram can also result in random reboot..

Not surprising for even new psu to have issue, it's a game of luck especially when you bought a budget psu like the hexa+. Not the first case either in this forum.

Still it's the slightly better psu for the most budget psu you can find. If possible, get another psu from a friend to test your system see if it reboots. If it doesn't, then rma your psu. If it still does, check ram.

I loaded the 6500 with stress test on stock fan and default curve. Max at 65 deg without reboot. 53 is no where near reboot temp, so is 65. Reseat your ram too. See if it helps.

Im using only 1 stick for my 8gb ram btw

Does the problem occur in youtube or other operation affected as well?

If youtube alone, disable hardware acceleration to narrow the problem.

But im wary coz the reboot only occurs when im playing game.. Any chance Gpu might be the one?

So far I browse Internet all no problem, when I do gaming bout 5 mins at most then self reboot
