Hi guys my pc suddenly crashed and displayed 2 red light when I try to restart my pc https://imgur.com/a/T9ZQe I am suspecting it's my gpu that's faulty need advice please!

now managed to start up my pc... dont have spare gpu to test. i was playing ds3 when suddenly my pc auto shutdown

Auto-shutdown maybe due to over temperature. Do check both your CPU and GPU temperature.

Prices for brand-new GPUs are crazy mad-ass stupid right now. $600 will get you a GTX 1060 6GB at best now.

One alternative is to look for a 2nd-hand GTX 970 on carousell and squeeze to below $300. Performs faster than ur R9 280x, and chances are most of them still under warranty.

If you don't mind paying premium. A GTX1060 6G around $400 before price start to climb.

If budget is $600, easy to get single card GTX10606gb

Prices to go is about $500 but i know many are hoarding up for CNY.

So if you are willing to part with $600, just buy it asap
Small increase coming. Bigger increase in CNY

If you want the card at RRP, besty to consider upgrading the entire system.

GPUs use the same PCIe interface so yes, your existing parts will be compatible.

Replacing a GPU is straight forward. Do remember that there is a small latch at the right of the motherboard PCIe slot that you will need to unlock to remove the existing GPU.
