Been using Huawei P30 Pro for like 4 years today got lines appear

Do game sometimes on mobile like honkai so hope at least can tank these type of game

I see recommendations like a54 and poco a4/5 but want to get more advice, prefer cheaper but do recommend from low end till like around under $800, not keen to spent too much on phone rn. Don't have to be best within the budget just good deal/bang for buck kind.

Using bluetooth earbuds so no headphone jack is fine, sim is 1x TPG (no dual sim/1 physical 1 esim is fine) as I read some phones don't support certain telco. No particular loyalty to x brands just looking for good deals.

Xiaomi 13T could be a good choice

Last month I bought my dad a S22 256GB for $780 from RedWhite Mobile. Believe they might still have stocks.

13T Pro will be out of your budget, but 13T should be good enough as its specs are mid-high end.
Would 13T be more value compared to say Samsung A54 and POCO F5? Those two and 13T are the ones I read reviews for so far. Want to note that I don't care for camera since that seems to be one of the selling point of 13T, I do appreciate the water resistant part though. A54 would come with free earbuds if buy from samsung from checking their website fyi.

Also 13T only way is to get from aliexpress/shopee/lazada?

Just wanted to add on my screen has completely died out throughout the day so being able to get the phone quickly would be a big plus.

Was looking into older flagship phones (except apple cos theirs don't drop price much) thinking to spend abit more if worth

Samsung S22 Ultra 128GB for $858
https://www.mistermobile.com.sg/pro...ute_pa_storage=128gb&attribute_color=Burgundy
vs
Samsung S22 Plus 128GB for $788
https://www.mistermobile.com.sg/product/samsung-s22-plus-singapore/?attribute_pa_storage=256gb&attribute_color=Phantom White

as compared to
previously considering cheaper option
A54 128GB for $418
https://www.mistermobile.com.sg/product/samsung-a54-singapore/?attribute_pa_storage=8gb-ram-128gb&attribute_color=Awesome Graphite

by comparison xiaomi 13T 256GN - $699 before any discount on shopee
Poco F5 12+256GB - $459 also pre discount (after $40 shop voucher)

Ngl 128gb ones will be abit sian but I can just keep less games keep the bare minimum youtube etc. so I'm thinking it's not a big deal. Also possibly will get new phone in like 2 year-ish as I'll have my own income by then of course prefer if this phone will still be going strong I could keep as second phone or give my parents.

Poco F5 12 + 256GB can get it for under 380, someone provided a screenshot during the Shopee 9.9 sales. If you can wait till 11.11, you probably can get it much cheaper.

If you want a better chipset, you can go for Poco F5 pro which gives you Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 for under 600 during sales. Do keep in mind that Android phone makers only provide support for their phones for a limited period, if you want to pass on your phone to your parents after 2 or 3 years, it may already reach a time when they no longer provide security updates or patches.

I checked the website I linked on the s22 phones but they're oos so I decided to get poco f5 at 11.11 since I managed to get my mom's spare phone to use for now. I'll probably use poco f5 as my main phone for awhile then change to whatever iphone that is considered worth the price at that time.

can consider poco f4, below $300 now

check official poco store on lazada or shopee

runs snapdragon 870, should still be able to play honkai without major issues

can check reviews online of poco f4 gameplay smoothness
