Hi guys,

Need expert opinion... after read some new article and reviews about the 5

generation intel core and DDR4 rams... im planning to change my mobo cause

my mobo almost died.... the problem is first im planning to buy MSI Z97M

Gaming
which is Micro ATX form factor with support 5 Gen intel... but the DDR

is still using a DDR3.... so is it worth to wait for Mobo with DDR4 rams slot or

just buy the current market mobo... im not in hurry though.... but is there

really big margin between DDR3 vs DDR4? Kindly

Help.. i have a budget around 300.

New technology... And not many ppl adopting it yet. Once it moves towards mainstream mobo, prices will drop. Till then, i recommend sticking to DDR3, it will still be relevant for the next couple of yrs.

if you use your haswell in the z97, upgrading to the next gen when it comes out will most likely not make a big diff in performance.

getting a z97 just because it can support the next gen is kinda pointless because you will not see much gains in upgrading. Unless you like to have all the newest tech then in that case you should just get x99 and ddr4

If u r gonna buy just the mobo alone, pretty much any shop would do. Nt much discounts. U can try tradepac, pc themes, cybermind...

Have u tried to RMA your mobo? It should be in warranty.

Then, it would be based on the manufacturing date on your mobo. At most lose a few months of warranty..
