Hi Guys,

Need some recommendation building a PC for my friend. Budget $1500, include monitor and OS. Usage: mainly for designing, 3DsMax, sketchup, Autocad, Adobe. Best if can fit in a SSD and a storage Harddisk.

Thanks.

CASE: Tecware F3 Elite $55
MOBO+CPU: Asrock AB350M PRO4 + Ryzen 5 1600 $453
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400MHz 2x8GB (AMD Certified) $204
PSU: EVGA GD 550W $109
SSD: PNY CS1311b 256GB $135
HDD: Toshiba 1TB 7200rpm OEM $63
GPU: Palit StormX GTX 1060 3GB $319
OS: Windows 10 Home $11 via Carousell
MONITOR: Dell SE2717H $239 via Lazada

TOTAL: $1588

Prices quoted from PC Themes or otherwise stated.

Prices are in serial retail price. Not subjected to any shop discount yet, especially is you pay via cash.

Stuff from Carousell, deal at your own responsibility. I'm only recommending what is working from my experience. Will not be responsible if you purchase the wrong stuff or any inconvenience you face.

Apply some discount from Lazada when you using credit card on certain days with certain codes. Factoring in shop discount, you should be able to get everything within $1500.

Stock for gtx 1060 might or might not have. So you gotta camp for stock as well.

Sent from PM me if you wanna build a DIY PC or wanna learn how to make one yourself :D using GAGT

After discount can get better case, can reuse for few builds, ram also can get higher speeds, faster ram with ryzen can increase fps.

Also take note asrock released new bios update for some of their b350 boards.

Thanks for the reply, appreciate it.

I suppose now AMD is better than intel in terms of performance and price?

yes, amd is the way to go now unless you are stuck with old and unoptimized games which favours intel single core performance.
