Help me out, HWZ. I bought a EVGA G2 750w PSU on amazon, but i forgot about the socket type. I have an adapter at home, but will the PSU still work properly? Is there a shop somewhere that sells PSU cables for EVGA?

Do you mean socket type as the power plug used? You should be able to get them for $5-6 at sls. The adaptor should work fine

As long as you have 110-240v stated (or something similar) on the PSU rating, you can use a simple adapter.

Did the PSU come with a power plug that's compatible with local wall sockets?

I believe Muddle meant was that he used the power cord from an existing psu (presumbly dead or not using) and plug into the new one.

If u buy from amazon, u will get US 2-pin plug.

Just cut off the US socket and re-wire with standard 3-pin socket. It will only take a few minutes.

regular power cord from SLS will do, but do take note before future purchases of PSUs on Amazon, not all power cord sockets on PSUs are the same. Below are 2 examples from EVGA (1st one being the one that you bought).

Lol, so troublesome. Just head over to SLT and purchase a 1.5m UK plug for $4?

I bought some previously. Quite poor quality. The power cable that came with the PSU should be better quality. Anyway, this will probably not make a difference to most guys so whatever. :)
