Need recommendation for external hdd firewire or thunderbolt

Hi,
I'm really in need to get an external hdd which either have firewire or thunderbolt for my macbook pro.

I know i should go for usb 3 but my macbook pro's port only have usb2, firewire and thunderbolt.

Went to Challenger they only have Seagate with usb 3 connectivity + a thunderbolt adapter (buy separately)

This cost me extra and i think it may or may not a good investment, but for now 1 TB storage size is no go for me.

Is there any external hdd that i'm looking for available at stores in Singapore?

go to apple store, most of their hard drives support thunderbolt and firewire provided cost is not an issue to you
